Civil Council for National Development

    The INPR convened the “Civil Council for National Development” from December 23 to 27, 1989 in Taipei, with active participation of experts, scholars, and civil society representatives both from Taiwan and overseas. Six key issues of constitutional reform, judicial reform, state administration systems, national defense and diplomacy, challenges to Taiwanese space development, and cultural ethics were identified and lively discussed. Through in-depth and thorough discussion on various issues, it provided both government and opposition leaders with advices from the private sector, and provide some common thinking directions and materials for those who care about the future development of the nation.
